Make a tax-deductible financial contribution A perfect opportunity for a single individual or a major corporation. Whether you write your check for $100 or $100,000, all financial contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Many employers offer to match your charitable donations dollar-for-dollar, so don’t forget to ask whether your employer will match your donations. How should you give? You can give securely online through our Facebook Cause. Or safely through PayPal using the yellow button at the bottom of this page. Or, you can mail a check to us the old-fashioned way: just download our donation form.
Donate goods or services Perfect for local businesses. If you offer a professional service, chances are you can help us. Are you a master gardener or a landscape artist? Maybe you have a carpet cleaning business. Perhaps you’re a marketing firm looking to “adopt” a local charity. Take a look at our Wish List.
Donate goods or services for an event Perfect for local businesses. Our fundraising events are our bread and butter, and anything your company can donate will help to deflect our overhead costs. We accept donations of anything you can think of, including but certainly not limited to flowers, food, wine, entertainment, public relations services, and printing, just to name a few.
Renovate or “name” a room at Bright Side Perfect for larger corporations, banks, or foundations. With 65 residents and three dozen staff members, you can imagine that our building takes a beating. There is always an opportunity to renovate or make improvements around our home, at various budget levels. Check with us to see what might need fixing, and we’ll find a way to put your group to work.
Sponsor a resident Perfect for larger corporations, banks, or foundations. Many older adults have incomes that are too high to qualify for Medicaid but too low to pay for assisted living. Very often, Bright Side Manor will admit these residents despite their inability to pay. You can sponsor one of these residents, permanently or for just one month.
Honor a loved one or remember someone Perfect for individuals or families. Purchase a teak bench (as seen above), a planter, a chair, or a brick for our backyard, and we’ll have it engraved expressly for you or your loved one with your personal message. Peek at our brick garden for inspiration on your next visit to Bright Side.
Get your group involved Ask your employer, rotary club, community group, church group, veterans' club, or women's group to host a party or a special event for our residents, or a volunteer day.
Fundraising Events An ideal way to lend your support while getting to know us better and mingling with other supporters. You never know who you might meet at our fundraisers.
Fundraise Through Financial Planning Ameriprise Financial will donate $50 to Bright Side Manor through their Community Connection program when you meet with a financial advisor to learn how the company can help you meet your goals for retirement.
