Why Bright Side? Because Bright Side is "home" in every sense of the word. Bright Side Manor was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) organization in 1993 by geriatric professionals who saw the need for affordable assisted living. Today, that need is even more pressing. We believe that all older adults should have access to assisted living, regardless of their income, and this belief dictates our daily work.
Why Bright Side? Because we serve all older adults, regardless of income or financial situation. Some residents at Bright Side Manor have hundreds of thousands of dollars. Some have tens of thousands. Some have thousands. And some have very little money at all. If and when one of our residents can no longer pay privately — or if they require a subsidy through the Assisted Living Medicaid Waiver from the very beginning — we will assist in helping them to explore their financial options so that they can move in and remain at Bright Side.
Why Bright Side? Because we don't require a period of private pay before an applicant can transition onto the Assisted Living Medicaid Waiver. If a senior has been approved for the Waiver, that person can move in, providing we have a room available.
Why Bright Side? Because our low staff turnover rate gives our residents the opportunity to get to know the people who care for them; some of our staff have been part of the Bright Side community for over two decades! Simply by observing the interactions between staff and residents, it's evident that Bright Side isn't just a job.
Why do people choose Bright Side? Very simply, because we're in the business of caring for today's older adult.
